Thank you for your interest in and dedication to the Becoming Parents Program! You are the face, voice, and legs of the program. You are our interface with couples around the world who are expanding their families through birth, foster parenting, and adoption.

We are dedicated to supporting your efforts. Please create an account on our online forum so you can consult and exchange ideas with the Becoming Parents Program team and other instructors. The forum also allows you to advertise your upcoming classes to couples who visit this website and are looking for classes.

It is very important that you keep us updated with your current contact information, both for our free online instructor directory so couples in your area can find you and so that we can contact you regarding program updates and new products. These are two separate databases. You need to specify which information you want listed on the instructor directory and which information should be limited to the Becoming Parents Program instructor database. Please use our database update section to make changes to this information.

We will soon be adding a marketing tips and tricks section to assist you in your advertising and marketing Becoming Parents Program classes. The program is receiving a great deal of media attention and we want to be able to direct couples and reporters to active instructors.

We have been working with the Oklahoma Marriage Initiative and the Building Strong Families Project of the Administration for Children and Families of the Federal Department of Health and Human Services to adapt the Becoming Parents Program for low income couples having a first or subsequent child. This adapted curriculum should be available by fall 2005 after piloting in Oklahoma over the summer.

Findings from the randomized controlled clinical trial of the Becoming Parents Program–the study of 470 married couples making the transition to parenthood in the Puget Sound region of Washington state–will be provided as they are available. People around the world are awaiting the results of this landmark study.
